What are the missions of the pensions Ombudsman?

He tries to resolve your complaints and disputes about statutory pensions.

He investigates whether the pension offices have offered you an adequate and correct service.

He refers you to the relevant office if he cannot deal with your complaint.

He investigates complaints completely independently and impartially. He observes the strictest objectivity and confidentiality.

He makes recommendations to the differant pension offices to improve their services or the implementation of the pension law where necessary.

Each year, he reports extensively to the Chamber of Deputies, the Minister for Pensions and the Advisory Committee of the Pension Sector. The annual report contains, among others, the outcome of his activities and recommendations.

He works towards reconciliation between citizens and pension offices.
